Perth and Cottesloe Beach

This past weekend, Tyler and I spent our time in the city of Perth, which is an hour and a half north of his home town, Bunbury. I absolutely loved Perth when we went there over Summer, so I was excited to get back. It reminds me so much of downtown LA, just a lot greener, smaller, and no smog in the sky. During the day on Friday we went to Cottesloe Beach, which is one of the most popular beach destinations in Perth. The water was so clear and warm, the pictures don’t do it justice to how beautiful it was! Then we got dinner at our hotel at a karaoke bar which was an interesting experience. Our hotel was right in the middle of the city, just steps away from all of the local bars and clubs. We went to a very upscale outside lounge after dinner called the Aviary which was located on the third story of a building that overlooked the downtown district. On Saturday, we spent the day at his friend’s house in the city and went out to a very cool club at night called Metrocitys. Tomorrow is Tyler’s birthday so his family and I are taking him out to dinner.

Today officially marks that my time in Australia is half way over (2 weeks and 3 days to go). Very bittersweet because I have truly fallen in love with Australia, but I am so excited to go to Cape Town and experience a completely different culture!
