Wow! Four days later, and I feel like months have gone by since my first day in Africa. During the weekend, we went camping about an hour and half away to do bonding activities with the 40 other study abroad students in my program. Surprisingly, there are like 10 people in my program from Chapman, a little home away from home! But the last few days have been pretty amazing, we got a tour of Camps Bay and drove down to the Cape of Good Hope, which is the southern most point of Africa. It has been a lot of fun exploring the town we live in and to walk around the university. The school is absolutely giant, you have to take a shuttle to get across campus or its a 30 minute walk. We have discovered lots of cool restaurants and bars where we live, but overall I am slowly but surely getting used to how to deal with how different it is here in Africa, and how to accept it as part of the whole experience!
